If someone asked me what I do, I’d always say, a mix of things.
I’m a content writer, travel filmmaker, storyteller, and someone who’s run ads for brands.
I’ve written scripts, edited videos, and worked on digital campaigns.
But deep down, I often asked myself:
Where is this all going?
I was doing everything but under ten different labels.
And that’s when I found upGrad.
WordPress, Wix, domains, hosting, SEO… it all sounded complicated and honestly, a bit scary.
I used to feel like if I clicked the wrong button, the entire internet might crash.
It sounds funny now, but that’s how overwhelmed I felt back then.
When I joined the Advanced Digital Marketing Certification by MICA via upGrad, I didn’t expect it would help me check off a goal I’d carried in my heart for years, to create something of my own.
In our very first session, I remember choosing the Manager Track.
And quietly thinking to myself, “I don’t even know how to build a website.”
But that’s where the change began.
From Day 1, the curriculum felt like it was made for people like me people with big ideas, but not-so-big tech confidence.
Every module was simple, structured, and genuinely beginner-friendly.
Each assignment was a push in the right direction.
Slowly but surely, I started designing my own blog, choosing themes, setting up pages, writing SEO titles, installing plugins… and loving it.
I can now proudly say, I built Unseen Bharat By Khushi — my own storytelling platform.
Here, I write about everything that makes this country magical:
unheard voices, hidden history, raw Indian pride, places no one talks about, and inspiring journeys.
From the eerie silence at Qutub Minar,
to a Kerala couple who planted 10,000 saplings across India with their dog, every story I publish is a part of my soul.
And what’s even better?
I now offer a new skill as a freelancer — blog building, content creation, and SEO.
This was never just about earning a certificate.
It was about feeling confident enough to show up online.
To finally put all of me, my skills, my thoughts, my experiences in one place.
So if you’re reading this and wondering “Can I do it?”
Yes, you can. I was in the same place once.
If one project can bring this much confidence, I’m excited (and ready) for what’s next.
Thank you upGrad,
A small blog. A big win.
